I’ve been extremely blessed by all of the different aspects of Impact this past year. God has given me such a passion for the human trafficking victims and refugees; being able to help them through my university has been so neat.

I’ve been overcome with gratitude for the sense of community I have found here. I long for others to experience the same family of disciples I’ve grown to love. Through Impact Intensives I have a new perspective on the Story of God and have understood Him in ways I have never know before.

God put Impact in my life at the perfect time and it has been everything I had been praying for and more. He has worked through so many people I have would have met otherwise that have impacted me immensely.

I came to Impact looking for a community of believers and a group of friends, and I found that. From the beginning, I felt invested in and included. I formed God-centered friendships that provided accountability and a place to have fun.

As I became involved in the leadership team, I was taught many important life lessons about sharing my faith, facilitating studies and discussions, and the importance of discipleship and accountability. In short, Impact gave me a place to belong as a new college student and provided me with essential tools to use along my spiritual journey.

Your support of Impact provided a place for students like me who came to college not knowing a soul to become part of a community. Your support allows the ongoing investment necessary for the spiritual development of the next generation. Thank you!!

I found out about Impact as I was roaming through other college ministries. The other ministries looked fun and promising but Impact looked to be something that would really benefit my spiritual growth.

Ever since joining I have benefited by being involved and have had great conversations with people within the community.

Impact has helped me to grow as a disciple of Christ. I’ve learned how to intentionally study God’s story and learn who He is. I’ve also learned how to reflect Christ to the people around me.

I am incredibly grateful for the years I spent in Impact. Before coming to UMKC, I didn’t have many friends and much of my faith was practiced independently. I was blessed to discover Impact where I learned that the Christian walk does not have to be walked alone. I found a Christ-centered community during a period of great change and transition, and as a result I was able to grow closer to God and to others. I met people with whom I could be open, honest, and transparent and have made life-long friends.

In many ways, Impact defined my undergraduate experience. I do not know how my life would have been different if I hadn’t joined, but I know I wouldn’t have become the person that I am now.

Than you for your support of Impact. With your help, Travis and Britney have been able to bring the love of Christ to people who truly need it. Christians and non-Christians, groups and individuals, young and old have all benefited from this ministry. I have seen lives changed because of it.

I would have never even considered studying the Bible for myself apart from how God used Travis and Impact to challenge my walk with God while I was attending UMKC. The seeds that were planted by Impact and Travis’s personal mentorship were ground breaking, and the call to ministry was, for the first time, clear to me.

Through Impact, God has established me in His grace (Now active in 7 ministries across the states; Inner City sports clubs, 2 church plants, Kid ministry within the local church, Pastoral training and discipleship of younger men, a ministry in writing, and a ministry in teaching the Bible). God has enabled me to take part in foreign missions (5 countries spanning 6 months and potentially one more month in Southeast Asia this August). And God has given me a life saturated in Who He is and His heart for people.

Impact made an impact in my life and by extension has affected hundreds more with the glorious gospel. It planted the seed of God’s Word into my heart. It planted a fire within my bones that cannot be quelled and my life, although obscured in uncertainty, is certainly grounded in God’s grace.

Coming into college at UMKC, I was a 17 year old girl who had spent her whole life in church. With my parents in tow, we found the Impact booth at the Roo Fair and came upon kind faces and hearts. They offered us a soda and after a brief conversation, my parents and I agreed that it was worth checking out when the school year stated.

Not a week later I got an email from a young lady who turned out to be one of my best friends in college. I went to the first meeting during the first week of school and began the road that would take me through my entire college career. Impact taught me truths of the gospel, showed me how to love on those around me, and gave me lifelong friendships rooted in Christ. They challenged me, loved on me, and invested in me. I am changed forever because of my time spent with Impact

I started Impact my freshmen year of college being one of two new bees to only attend the first event. Even with being the only new person and getting hoards of questions, I kept coming. Boy am I glad!! Through Impact I have made great friendships and even found the man I’d eventually marry.

Most importantly, I found a real relationship with God. In high school, Jesus and religion was all about following the ‘rules’ and trying to be the perfect person. Impact turned my idea upside down and for the first time I experienced a true relationship with God.

Thanks to Impact and my accountability talks with Britney and some of the other girls, I learned to address the heart issues underlying my sin. I also learned of the beautiful grace God gives us when it takes us awhile to admit the heart issues and even longer to actually address them. After graduating several years ago, I know that if I need help I can always go to Britney or other friends I made through Impact.
