Assistand Campus Missionary at UMKC and Youth Ministry Liaison

My Story

After being involved with the Ozarks BSU at College of the Ozarks, I moved to Kansas City to go to seminary and get equipped to serve as a youth pastor. About a year in, I met Travis Hamm through the evangelism club that was started and began helping with outreach at Metropolitan Community College at the Maple Woods Campus. I began to grow a desire for evangelism to the lost and college students, and began asking what ways I could become more involved. I talked with Travis and learned about the apprenticeship program that gives me the opportunity to focus on discipling college students intentionally.

My Role

In August 2023, I began serving as a Ministry Apprentice with Collegiate Impact, focusing on discipling students and sharing the Gospel at Metropolitan Community College–Maple Woods. In 2026, I transitioned into leadership at the University of Missouri–Kansas City (UMKC), serving with Collegiate Impact’s campus ministry. At UMKC, I focus on evangelism, discipleship, leadership development, and building gospel-centered community, while helping students grow in spiritual maturity and connecting them with local churches.

Alongside my campus ministry role, I serve as the Youth Ministry Liaison, fostering connections between high school students, youth ministries, and local campus ministries. Through this role, I seek to ease the transition from high school to college by connecting students with campus ministries and helping them continue growing in their faith as they enter college.
