Ministry Apprentice –
University of Missouri – Kansas City
My Story
Growing up, I didn’t know very much about God or the Bible. I knew that I was supposed to fear God and that I wasn’t supposed to use His name in vain, but I didn’t know why. I experienced some difficult things growing up that led me to start asking questions about God.
One summer, I attended a church service with my aunt and uncle while their church was going through a hard time. It was during that service that I recognized how much I needed Jesus and His forgiveness.
After accepting Christ, I struggled with what it meant to be a Christian. I started going to Church regularly, but still felt that there was something off in my walk with Jesus. Then I attended MCCKC on their Longview Campus and got involved with Collegiate Impact. Through my involvement, I saw what it truly meant to be a Christian. I developed a deeper relationship with Jesus and grew a desire to help and lead others in the same way I had been.
My Role
My role as an apprentice with Collegiate Impact is to share the hope and peace of Jesus through walking through the Gospel and discipling students on the UMKC campus.
