Scriptures
We believe in God’s infallible written Word. We believe the Scriptures, all 66 books of the Old and New Testament, were written by human authors who were divinely inspired by God. Because it is God inspired, the Bible is without error. It is the supreme source of truth for all matters of Christian belief and living.
II Timothy 3:16; II Peter 1:20-21; Deuteronomy 4:2
God
We believe in one true God. He is the Creator and Ruler of the universe. God eternally exists in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
Genesis 1:1; 1 Corinthians 8:6; 2 Corinthians 13:14; Matthew 28:19
Jesus
We believe Jesus is the Son of God. He came to earth fully man, born of the virgin Mary. Jesus lived a sinless life and offered Himself as the perfect sacrifice for the sins of all people. Three days after dying on the cross, He rose from the dead in order to demonstrate His power over sin and death. He ascended to heaven and acts as mediator between us and God.
Matthew 1:20-23; I Corinthians 15:3-4; Acts 1:9-11; Hebrews 9:15
Holy Spirit
We believe that the Holy Spirit is present in the world to make people aware of their need for Christ. At the moment of salvation, He dwells in the Christian to provide strength, understanding, and guidance for following Christ. As a Christian, you should seek to continuously live under His control.
Acts 1:8; John 14:16-17; Romans 8:26-27; I Corinthians 2:12-14
Humanity
We believe that humanity was created in the image of God. However, all of humanity rebels against God and His ways. This sin results in physical and spiritual death which is separation from God. All are in need of salvation.
Genesis 1:27; Romans 3:23, 5:12; Ephesians 2:1-3
Gospel
The gospel (good news) is that God is restoring everything sin has broken in the world by re-establishing His rule and reign. The Father has sent the Son into the world empowered by the Spirit to inaugurate His Kingdom through Jesus’ life, death, and resurrection. God’s Spirit transforms the hearts of men and women to turn from pursuing their own kingdom, and to receive the abundant and eternal life found under the rule and reign of King Jesus. Followers of Jesus now have a power to live in as saints, a people to live with in the family of God, and a purpose to live for as Christ’s ambassadors to the world calling others to follow Him.
Ephesians 2:8-9; John 1:12, 5:24; Romans 10:9-17; 1 Corinthians 15:1-8; 2 Corinthians 5:17-21
Church
We believe Christ is the Head of the Church, which is composed of all people (locally and internationally) who have accepted His gift of salvation. The church is called to gather together regularly to worship Him.
Ephesians 2:19-22; Romans 12:4-5; Acts 2:42-47; Hebrews 10:24-25
Eternity
We believe Jesus Christ will come to earth again in order to fulfill God’s eternal plan. He will resurrect all men and judge them with justice and mercy. Those who are unsaved will be sent to Hell and punished for eternity. Those who are saved will spend eternal life with God in Heaven. In Heaven, Christians will not experience evil, suffering, and death. Instead, they will be free to continuously glorify their King forever.
